DRONEMASTERS Summit@CeBIT

Take your Business to the Sky

Hanover. From 14 - 18 March 2016, the DRONEMASTERS Summit@CeBIT will take place for the first time. The Summit will present a variety of topics and opportunities in the area of drones and unmanned aerial vehicles under one roof at the digital leading trade fair CeBIT in Hall 16.

DRONEMASTERS is an industry platform for drones in business, science, sports and entertainment. By also being a sporting competition, DRONEMASTERS have become a central driver of technological development in the area of drones in Germany. At CeBIT, the Summit combines the formats exhibition and conference with the modules competition, races and air show in one big arena.

DRONEMASTERS wants to speed up technological progress with the help of a sporting events and competitions and with the greater aim to develop new business models, provide solutions to global challenges and to simply have a lot of fun with this new technology.

The conference will feature drones experts and innovators like Lukas Wrede, CEO and founder of the logistics service Skycart Drone Delivery Solutions from San Jose in California, Christian Janke, development engineer from the European Aviation Security Center in Berlin, Lars Reger, Vice President and global CTO in the automotive sector of the semiconductor specialist NXP, Jörg Lamprecht, co-founder of Dedrone, a company from Kassel, which manufactures drone detectors, and Robert Reichert, head of the "Full Service Drone Providers" OiC from Remscheid. It highlights tomorrow's major developments today - in a top-level conference that offers a stage for presentation, discussions and inspiration. Partner of the conference is the German digital association BITKOM.

In the Arena, drone races and competitions will be held with the best team having the opportunity to win the "CeBIT FPV CUP". On Thursday, 17 March 2016, pilots can prove themselves by flying their drones in the Arena. Official Timekeeper in the Arena is the sport service provider Davengo from Berlin. With the use of RFID chips for timekeeping, Davengo aims to accelerate technical innovation in the Drone racing scene, which is currently developing worldwide.

About

The history of DRONEMASTERS began in July 2015 with the spontaneous idea to organize a drone race in Berlin. What started out as a small "Fly'n'BBQ" with friends and peers on the horseracing track in Karlshorst in Berlin soon became one of the biggest drone events in Germany, held in September 2015. The DRONEMASTERS have since become a much-noted Drone-racing event worldwide.

DRONEMASTERS have by now been further developed with the aim of making the sporting competition a driver of the new drone technology. DRONEMASTERS connects companies with investors and creates a bridge for knowledge and technology transfer between industry and science.

Founder of DRONEMASTERS is Frank Wernecke, who organized Berlin's first drone from scratch within a few weeks with a team of dedicated and committed associates and assistants.
